So today was a magical day for me in New York City.
I am so, so, so happy and thankful to be here! Today is, indeed, the 15th anniversary of the 9/11/2001 - a very sad and historic moment in history. For me, today reminded me why New York is so great and why it's important to be grateful for life's blessings. After pulling myself out of bed laaaatee in the afternoon, I decided to pop into Lower Manhattan for some coffee and something to eat. I got a suggestion from my friend for Aroma Espresso Bar on Church Street and decided to check it out. It was a great and very delicious choice. I highly recommend the California Chicken Sandwich and the Iced Aroma with whipped cream - yum! Once I had completely stuffed myself with edible goodness, I made my way to the Union Square area for church! I was originally headed to Hillsong NYC's campus at Irving Plaza but I discovered Every Nation NYC around the corner and decided to check it out. It was a really refreshing evening of worship and a reminder that, even in this busy city, time with God is always the best idea. On my way back to BK for the night, I stumbled upon a full on dance party in Union Square Subway Station. Y'all, seriously? Only in New York! When I finally managed to pull myself from the "party of a lifetime" :), I ended up on the Q train home and took in the beautiful Manhattan views as the train crossed the Manhattan Bridge over the East River. SO magical! As I prepare for the work week ahead, I am choosing to be joyful and thankful! With all the troubles and stresses of this world, it only does the soul well to think positively. Y'all have a wonderful night! :) -Jewel
